Gestalt
therapy was founded in 1945 by Frederick and Laura Perls,
and it demonstrates that the technique of awareness with
acting, perceiving and feeling are different from
interpreting pre established attitudes. Gestalt therapy uses
more emphasis on actions and thoughts at that particular
moment rather than words. The basic philosophy of this
method is that most people react using self-deception which
in turn can produce feelings of low self esteem, guilt, and
anxiety.
Van de
Riet often repeats the idea that an illness is a consequence
of people not being in harmony with themselves and the world
around them.
Contacting,
Actions, Choice, and Originality are considered to be
healthy, where as Control, Resistance, and Inflexibility are
considered the cause of the illness.
Gestalt
hypnosis, has a strong emphasis on the handling of the
transfer that emphasizes and encourages the patient's
responsibility for the cure, and the techniques that
facilitate use of the transferential observation, "continued
conscience" alliance with the healthy part of the patient,
working with the projection of the passenger.
Psychoanalytic
Therapy, concludes, "The biggest difference between
psychoanalysis and Gestalt hypnosis, therapy is that in the
latter, there is no transfer. Sometimes having amazing
insights, without even having known the name of the
therapist.
Gestalt
Hypnosis, is generally understood by a process in which a
person undergoes in order to get changes in the way of
confronting situations, disappearance of psychological
discomfort and / or individuals who limit their lives, and
generally learn more from his own self.
In this
sense it is considered that a workshop group sessions with
an unknown therapist, is an incredible opportunity for
people to realize how much is their ability to change, how
much is their willingness to work with them, alone or with
the help of a therapist.
