 Hypnosis Sensorial

Hypnosis skills

Self-hypnosis is a method that allows a subject to enter particular state, between wakefulness and sleep.

Auto-hypnosis is a method of suggestions created by a hypnotist. First the subject is hypnotized then, before waking up we place a post-hypnotic suggestion.

Maybe the hypnotist, asks you to relax each time you think of the key words "calming butterfly" . Each moment when you think about this word, you will feel all your nerves they calming down, all your stress diminishes and you feel progressively calmer and tranquil. So in the future the subject may face a distressing situation, and by thinking about the keyword he will automatically relax.

The Muscular relaxation method

The subject begins by repeating: "I am completely relaxed. My right arm (or left-hander) is very heavy" for a couple of minutes, then repeat with the following commands:

1. My arm is rigid.

2. I breathe deeply.

3. I open well the eyes.

For one or two weeks some exercises should be done scrupulously each day. First one will feel heaviness in the arm; later this sensation will spread to the whole body.

Perception of heat

Suggestions:

1. I am completely relaxed.

2. My arms (legs) weigh very much.

3. The right arm (left-hander) is warm.

The duration of the exercise depends on the time in which the subject manages to feel the heat sensation. In a couple of weeks it should be easy to produce the above mentioned sensation in all extremities.

Regulation of the heart (abstain: anyone with heart problems)

The right hand is placed on the heart to perceive the beats. Then we pass to the auto-suggestions:

1. I am completely relaxed.

2. My arms and legs are heavy.

3. My arms and legs are warm.

4. My heart beats calmly.

Breathing control

We begin by using the previous auto-suggestions, then we repeat:

"I breathe slowly and easily; I breathe without any effort."

Control of the abdomen.

After having carried out the previous auto-suggestions out, one repeats:

"My solar plexus is warm."

When this exercise has ended, the subject should be completely relaxed, to breathe comfortably and with a regular pulse and to experience an agreeable heat sensation in the whole body.

Regression

We can define a retrogression as the method of hypnotizing a person under hypnosis where he remembers facts from his past with good precision. (Even though that consciously he does not remember).

With a regression it is possible to achieve that a person remembers certain details from a specific day such as when he was four years old.

In many countries, the investigation services use hypnosis for witnesses of certain crimes, for example, the registration number of a car. (unless we noticed consciously, we would not remember in the normal state). (In a high percentage of cases correct information is obtained).
