Speaking in
public or in a business reunion, or an important meeting
or even a wedding speech can sometimes be stressful and
frightening. Self hypnosis can help soothe those bad
nerves and help to choose the right words and tone of
voice, attitude, gestures and mannerisms. Selfhypnosis
can help the speaker to become more relaxed and natural,
talking with a calm tranquil voice, relaxed and full of
self esteem with a booming self confidence.
Public
Speaking and Confidence
If all agree on
something we feel is most afraid to go to the public. All
the studies point to the same effect: we are afraid of
ridicule, and in Usa we are very afraid of making fools
of ourselves. The best way to overcome is the practice,
and think that we are heading a group of friends. Not all
speakers are great, but if we can be very entertaining
and effective speakers, if we get our message in a warm,
clear and effective.
To achieve our
goal, we can provide some basic guidelines to
consider:
1. We must know
when the public start to become uninterested, and even
improvise. If we see that the public is getting bored, we
can try to shorten the speech.
2. That is what
we mean and convey. Be clear about the purpose of the
speech and its key points, to get the message and that is
clearly understandable by the public.
3. How do arrive.
We must "interpret" the role of convincing the public to
create and receive the message. We must learn to capture
their attention and keep it. One way to improve our
public discourse is practicing in front of the mirror,
recorded with a tape and listen with friends who can make
critical comments, and so on. But do not forget the
greatest hero: the voice. We must take care of the pitch
(module and direct voice), tone (light and relaxed), the
volume (or low, not hear anything, not screaming, or
screetching to the public), pace (do not speak very
slowly, or fast as if wanting to finish as soon as
possible) and vocalization (pronounced correctly, it
means better). Avoid pauses, stuttering, repetitions,
hesitations and elongation of words (eh, etc).
