How can
I reduce or eliminate self-destructive emotions, which makes
golf less enjoyable?
Golf
is a challenging game in which no matter how well you play
you still get frustrated at times. Once you hit that
"perfect shot" which gives a wonderful sense of
satisfaction, you'll feel as if you have the ability to do
it again, but when you can't repeat it, time after time, you
start to get self-doubts.
At this
point your mind starts to do three things:
1. To
judge performance against the criteria of perfection.
2. Analyze
your swing,
3. you
produce emotions like fear of failure, or ridicule,
Ben Hogan
said that if you hit five strokes in a perfect shot, Do you
expect more of yourself? Golf is a game where you play with
bugs. Learn from your mistakes. Pardon for not being
perfect. Forget the failures, to keep focus on your
breathing to relax and then think positively about the
recovery plan.
How
can I remove my fear or short putts?
The putt
is one of the simplest tasks in all sports. This becomes
much more of a difficult task when you are eager to roll the
ball into a hole of a couple of inches in diameter and
realize that a slight off angle will give you a fail.
Many short
putts are missed because of stress, which causes a slowdown
in the putter. Staying calm and focused on a particular
point of the ball, keep yourself and the putter in a
relaxed, and controlled stance, and take the shot with
confidence.
I would
like to improve my attitude toward the Golf. Just enjoy the
time, how can I achieve this?
Why do you
play golf? Is for the competition, for the sociability, or
the score?
My premise
is that golf is a game that we play for fun. If you like to
do something that you usually do well, then even better.
When we do something well, we are more relaxed and have a
good time. When we do not live up to our expectations and
the game is not so enjoyable, try to control the outcome.
Set aside your expectations about what you "should" make
every shot, and enjoy a unique challenge to make the biggest
shot of the day. Do not force an outcome. Concentrate on
hitting a shot at a time.
Why
Golf is called a mental game?
In many
sports, the body is trained to react to different situations
because there is no time to stop, weigh options and make a
decision. In golf, the ball is waiting for the golfer. The
actual time for a swing back to 4 hours is only a few
minutes.
Hypnosis
can help relax and achieve a better aim. This leaves more
than 3 ½ hours of time to think between shots. Those
golfers who "train their brains to produce the shots they
want, are the only ones who use mental tools such as
relaxation, positive self-stimulation, patience and a
consistent pre-shot routine before every confidence, playing
a shot to While no self-judge, no unrealistic expectations,
staying in the present, giving equal importance to each
shot, only to concentrate its focus on the goal, visualizing
your rhythm and tempo.
Golf can
be frustrating because you fail shots, no matter what you
do. If you fail the first strike, release the thoughts and
emotions, taking a few deep breaths to relax your body and
mind. Then overwrite those negative emotions by taking a
practice swing on one side of the playing area until you
restore your desired swing. To refocus on the next shot,
take your time:
a. - Be
absolutely sure about the rhythm of the swing
b. -
Prepare your mind, visualize the shot.
c. - Use
your experience before the shot in order to connect.
To
reinforce positive thinking, keep a positive
self-stimulation in the same way that you talk to a good
caddy. Don't doubt your ability. Accept their mistakes and
focus on recovering the next shot. Keep playing one shot at
a time. trust that you can continue playing well.
How can
I hit the ball so well on the practice tee, confidence, and
then fail on the golf course?
Performance
anxiety begins on the first tee shot. The anxiety causes
tension in the muscles, which produces offline shots.
To be
confident and play your best performance, you have to be
relaxed and trust your golf swing. It takes considerable
practice, and time in order to trust the mechanics of your
swing.
Spend 60%
of your practice time hitting balls without thinking about
how to do it. Hit balls with your eyes closed to test
confidence in your swing mechanics.
How to
prevent being influenced by the swing of other people?
Develop a
visual image of your own swing using video or see yourself
in front of a mirror. Try and improve your swing but always
use yourself as a role model instead of copying
others.
This means
letting go of all irrelevant thoughts and focusing on
creating the shot you want. When the brain and body are in
harmony before the swing, they act as one, without a
conscious thought or effort. This is called playing in the
zone. " Hypnosis can help get the shot that you want by
putting you into the zone.
